dressed up like a lady: Back in black! (I mean blue!)

Back in black! (I mean blue!)

Well that was an unexpected leave of absence! Last week was very busy: it turns out that the publicity companies like to get the press screenings for all the holiday movies out of the way the week before the week of the holiday (when I'm not posting outfit pics, my dayjob is reviewing movies), so I had three movies to see -- plus two parties with my closest friends!

Cardi: H&M
Top: Lux
Jeans: BDG
Shoes: Madeline
Earrings: Orchid Boutique
Anyway, I'm painfully behind, but it's good to be back. Plus, I have some beautiful complimentary earrings to show off from the Orchid Boutique!

Okay, I know that almost no style obsessed gal would turn down free earrings, but there's no denying that this webstore has an absolutely beautiful selection of gemstone jewelry, almost all of which are original designs. And I don't know about you, but I always jump at the chance to fulfill my outfit-building and impulse-buying needs with independent retailers. It mitigates any tinge of consumerist guilt -- not that I'm terribly familiar with this feeling.
