Mother Nature is a real firecracker of a lady. When she found out that I cheated on her in my last update -- by posting a balmy looking, long-forgotten pic taken months ago, when the sun was shining (a few more of which I just discovered in the recesses of my hard drive) -- she lashed out like ten bitches on an Arctic bitchboat.* The temperature had already averaged about 20°F/-7°C over the past month or two, but a couple days ago, it plunged down to -8°F/-22°C, and that's -21°F/-30°C with the windchill.
Shoes: Steve Madden
I hate, hate, hate to be cold, so I have a generous collection of heavy, oversized wool sweaters, but the heaviest one is this vintage 50's Cowichan cardigan, which is a couple of lbs. This earnestly pictorial style is also known as a curling sweater, or more awesomely, as a Lebowski sweater.

i think socks look neat with those cut out heels!
ReplyDeletethat sweater looks so amazingly comfortable.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is amazing!
ReplyDeletelove the outfit, especially the sweater :)
ReplyDeletearen't massively cosy vintage sweaters the best? I had to travel back to uni the other day carrying five of them... took up a whole suitcase and i couldn't move my arm by the end of it, but i'm so warm now it's worth it!
ReplyDeleteThat cardi is the cutest I've ever seen! Love the horses <33
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog- you are so cute and your posts are very funny! I'm still looking for the perfect, heavy, warm, wrap me up like a swaddled baby-sweater. The weather sucks here too!

ReplyDeleteI think the sweater is really ugly, sorry.
ReplyDeleteHa! Brilliant post! I love that sweater... and I always thought that the big lebowski has been under utilized as a fashion icon. Anyone who seems to feel comfortable in his/her skin makes it work!
