The Holly Sisters

This mesmerizing dirndl, skirt, suspender...thing is from an amazing collection of pieces worn by 50's showgirl sister act the Holly Sisters. The lovely ladies wore a lot of amazing stuff while they were singing on stage with the likes of Bob Hope.

Of course, my favorite vintage store The Getup had a whole collection of the Holly Sisters' costumes, including amazing rompers and beaded wiggle dresses (one of which I also snatched up). The store will have pictures of more of the pieces at some point, and I'll be sure to post a link when they do!

  12. What's sad about that ring is that I have no idea where I got it from. I also have another gorgeous one, but it is the size of a meteor, and is awkward to wear on my short, stubby fingers. (I have the smallest hands, EVER! I have yet to be disproved.) I will feature it soon, however, and maybe you'll be interested ;). We'll see. I used to be a huge jewelry girl, with tons of necklaces, rings and earrings, but with everything of late, I have been really picky. Always one major flaw that I can't get myself over. I'm looking to change that.

    Thanks for stoppin' by!
