This mesmerizing dirndl, skirt, suspender...thing is from an amazing collection of pieces worn by 50's showgirl sister act the Holly Sisters. The lovely ladies wore a lot of amazing stuff while they were singing on stage with the likes of Bob Hope.
Of course, my favorite vintage store The Getup
had a whole collection of the Holly Sisters' costumes, including
amazing rompers and beaded wiggle dresses (one of which I also snatched
up). The store will have pictures of more of the pieces at some point,
and I'll be sure to post a link when they do!

Oooh, I can't wait to see the beaded wiggle dresses though I must say this post provides quite a lot of eye candy on its own - the outfit is amazing and I love love love plaid!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely amazing!

You totally make this work! Wow.
ReplyDeletebeautyful.
ReplyDeleteAwesome and unique dress!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat's sad about that ring is that I have no idea where I got it from. I also have another gorgeous one, but it is the size of a meteor, and is awkward to wear on my short, stubby fingers. (I have the smallest hands, EVER! I have yet to be disproved.) I will feature it soon, however, and maybe you'll be interested ;). We'll see. I used to be a huge jewelry girl, with tons of necklaces, rings and earrings, but with everything of late, I have been really picky. Always one major flaw that I can't get myself over. I'm looking to change that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stoppin' by!
