dressed up like a lady: Sail away, sweet sister.

Oct 21, 2009

Sail away, sweet sister.

On this ridiculously warm day in late October, I eat my words about the passing of Indian Summer with much, much relish. What better a morning to pay tribute to a few stylishly iconic ladies of the past, who illuminated smoky rooms at even the darkest of hours -- and carried on the glorious tradition of blonde, short haired girls in striped, wide neck tops.

If Jean Seberg and Edie Sedgwick ever met, I'm sure they'd have been fast friends.

Bow barrette: Hairbowdepot
Shorts: Target
French stripe, boatneck top: Depths of my closet
Little, 3/4 length trench coat: Nine West (from many, many years ago)
Vented keyhole motorcycle gloves: vintage via Decades Vintage
