A couple of weeks ago, I got together with some friends and went to the Bang! -- the hot local mixtape dance party. I'm lucky enough to work with one of the event's proprietors -- the impeccable Jeremy Wheeler.
The theme of this particular party just happened to be a formal affair (as in tuxedos and corsages), to celebrate the Bang!'s 8-year anniversary.
To tell you the truth, I was just excited to get another chance to wear this 1990's Betsey Johnson prom dress (not to mention the dancing shoes I wore to my high-school senior prom). My dearest friend David snapped these pics of me getting steadily less patient waiting for the rest of our group to show up so we could go cut any number of rugs on the dancefloor (which I can assure you, we did).

ReplyDeleteDANG girl, I put on De La Soul & the Ramones as soon as I read this post because your fabulous gold dress made me want/need my own little dance party (the rug I cut was my own :( You are ROCKING the Betsey Johnson and the gold and the accordion pleats and the strapless 90's dress. I've always always always loved Betsey and I have a bunch of vintage Betsey Johnson dresses that I wear just to prance around the room.
