dressed up like a lady: One Lace Top, Two Ways

One Lace Top, Two Ways

I'm digging the lace top trend.

I felt like wearing this white one with my Terrifyingly Huge Trousers, loosely inspired (no pun intended) by great pants-wearers like Marlene Dietrich, Katherine Hepburn, and Lauren Bacall.

Top: Victoria's Secret
Skirt-for-each-leg pants: Vintage via Ebay
Jacket: Thrifted
Shoes: Seychelles

But you know, I also love this top because it provides something pretty to wear when you oversleep and have negative 5 minutes to get dressed:

Dress like a scrub and still feel sexy!

And before you even ask: yes, these pictures were taken in the bathroom.

THE SHOCK! THE SCANDAL!
Just kidding around. The light is just good in there when it's rainy. ;)

Although I did find that note in the upper left on the bathroom floor, where someone had transcribed the lyrics to Billy Joel's 'We Didn't Start the Fire.'
The bathroom is a mysterious place.

  2. I would have never realized that these photos were taken in a bathroom. I have to say a quite stylish bathroom. Anyway your trousers are amazing. Everything Marlene Dietrich inspired is amazing.

    love, kimi

  3. I have to ask...I love giant trousers and have a few pair, but I always feel like the length is somehow off or awkward or goofy. I don't want them to drag the floor, but I don't want them to wander into gaucho territory either. Is there some sort of guideline for this?
