You say it's your birthday.

Well, it was my birthday this past weekend so I got to have lots of fun celebrating with friends, and of course with my wonderful boyfriend! It seemed like a great chance to wear these crazy pink glittery shoes, which he gave me as a present -- before it was even my birthday!

All our plans for later in the weekend involved running, jumping, and being active, so I took the opportunity on Friday at the office to wear this floofy dress. It looks like one part 80's pop princess, one part madame at a 19th century brothel.

Seriously, like the structure, lace, and plaid aren't enough, this thing also needs an asymmetrical cut?! So ridiculous. I love it.

Don't stop the dance.

 Man-oh-man do I ever love these vintage Asian Brocade silk platforms. They're right at the apex of where Deco Meets Disco -- which is where I would like to live. Or at least dance!

Vacation, all I ever wanted.

Oh dear, it's been way too long since I've updated! I've been a little busy. So busy that my boyfriend MC and I needed a little mini-vacation!

We took a trip to the beach at Lake Michigan -- where it was very beautiful, and VERY WINDY!

Happily wrecked by the lake-effect breezes.

The weather was calmer the next day, and even more gorgeous.
