dressed up like a lady: Sir, yes sir.

Mar 11, 2011

Sir, yes sir.

I have some real outfit posts in the works -- some awesome vintage pieces that I can't wait to photograph, some pin-up inspired stuff, some hot disco outfits. But for now, I'm too busy for that. Today, it's just more shorts with tights.

Red Star-Trek looking military jacket: Ralph Lauren, Thrifted
Thoreau Sauntering Society T-shirt: vintage via MC
Triple notch belt: vintage via my dad
Shorts: H&M
Over-the-knee socks: Sockdreams
Cowboy boots: Vintage Zodiac, via Ebay

I don't mind being so busy though. I'm singing in a Rockabilly/Western Swing band with some crazy talented folks, and MC is even popping in to add some trumpet. Meanwhile, our learning curve in our swing dancing  class has us on the upswing, so we could probably handle cutting a rug if the band plays a guitar instrumental.

You have to look closely to see the best part of this outfit: a pendant MC found for me in the ether of the internet. Yes, that is a tiny replica of She-Ra's sword.

By the power of Grayskull, bitches.

At this point, Chi isn't satisfied unless he bombs at least one photo, so I just go with it.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Chi is almost as good model as you are ;) You look stunning as always.

  2. OMG. I love your blog. My name's Anna, I'm a stylist and visual merchandiser in LA. I'm 23 years old and moved to California after graduating back in south with a degree in visual merchandiser. I've worked with such designers as Max Azria, Nicole Richie, and my idol Rachel Zoe. I'd love if you visited my new blog for multiple posts a day on all things fashion. I'd love the support. I'm following you, I hope you'll do the same. Thanks so much.
