dressed up like a lady: Pic explosion from Mackinaw!

Pic explosion from Mackinaw!

I warned you about this! Needless to say, MC and I took a lot of pictures on our vacation, before I even knew it was going to end up being an engagement trip! So here's the first slew of shots.

MC enjoys the tranquil visuals of Lake Huron.

Mackinaw museums offer a Python-esque selection of arbitrary historical objects.

MC mocks himself for Cammila's amusement.

The view from a Fort Mackinac gunhole is much better suited for a camera.

Matt Collar pimps it in the back of a carriage.

The spot where MC decided to propose was in the garden of the Grand Hotel. But I didn't know that when we showed up at the grounds, determined to run around taking silly pictures, trying not to get kicked out by any staff who might notice we were not, in fact, guests of the establishment.

The Grand Hotel is full of lounges, ballrooms, and galleries, one of which was entirely devoted to animal art.

I was probably not allowed to do this. We also practiced our swing moves all over the dance floor, since nobody was in there.

"And then I was like 'Oh no you didn't!'"

It was after we made our way down to the topiary garden, with the gorgeous sight of the hotel stretching above us, that MC decided to take a knee -- with a string of people looking on from the pass above, who all started cheering as I accepted the ring, put it on, and leapt off the bench so I could pounce on MC with kisses, and tackle him to the ground.

Awwww, so cute you could just puke. ;)

More pics to come -- including the ring!
