dressed up like a lady: Thankful for Vegan Treats.

Nov 25, 2011

Thankful for Vegan Treats.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving, an American holiday characterized by a large meal, the expression of gratitude, and the celebration of colonists committing theft, zealotry, and genocide against American Indians. Wait, did I say that last part out loud? Haha, sorry, I'm only mostly kidding. The present-day celebration of the holiday is not really connected to colonialism, no matter how dubious its origins are.

Anyway, in honor of a rather gastronomical holiday, I thought I'd post a pictures of a few of my vegan creations that I'm most proud of. :)

Vegan Nanaimo Bars.

Vegan Chocolate Tea Biscuit Cake.

Vegan Raw Mango Lime Cream Pie.

Vegan Vanilla Cupcakes with Pink Frosting.

  2. Recipes! These look amaaaaazing! My roommates and I put on a vegan Thanksgiving and she made some apple cider cupcakes that I couldn't get enough of. Sara is right, vegan desserts get such a bad rep and those cupcakes were some of the most amazing cupcakes I've ever had. Viva la vegan treats!

  4. You are so funny. I love your rebel spirit. And your desserts. I love those too. Especially those cupcakes with the frosting that matches the streak in your pretty hair.
