For work, I recently reviewed A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III. It's a bonkers comedy by Roman Coppola that takes place in 1970's Los Angeles, about a debaucherous airbrush artist (Charlie Sheen), and the way his fractured imagination runs wild after he breaks up with his girlfriend. Click here to read my review -- I think it's a categorical success in film making, even if that means not everybody will like it. Plus, it's got Jason Schwartzman with an amazing Jew-fro.
Oh, and if you LOVE the deco influenced design of the 70's, you can TOTALLY watch this movie as pure Style Porn. I'm pretty sure it's even available on demand.
