dressed up like a lady: Man about town.

Mar 4, 2013

Man about town.

Jeans: Victoria's Secret
Velvet jacket: Thrifted
Shirt: MC's, pinned in the back with his 6th grade bandcamp name badge
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
Clutch: H&M
Belt, sunglasses: Thrifted
Fedora hat: Vintage, local antique store

So how was your weekend? MC, Gbear and I organized our "library," made a snow fort, played several games of Candy Land and Memory, and watched an interesting movie when Gbear was in bed, Walter Salles film adaptation of Kerouac's On the Road

When I say "interesting," I mean "shitty." MC and I reread the book this past summer, and with the source material fresh in our minds, this movie sucks in excitingly specific ways, more than it already would just for being poorly directed and bland. If you care to hear my exact feelings on why, you can read this post I made about it on facebook, where my detailed rant is in the comments section. I don't have an FB fanpage for this blog, but you can feel free to friend me, though you don't have to to read a public post. I think you just have to be logged in.

P.S. lol Why do I look like an effing VAMPIRE in these pictures? I'm a little on the fair side, but geeze....

P.P.S. My friend Blair thinks I look like a vampire who is played by David Bowie. I will take that comparison and EFFING RUN WITH IT!

P.P.P.S. Margaret thinks I look like Powder. Touche, Magdoll, touche.

  5. Rad outfit! The comparison to David Bowie is right on. Though if you want to run with the vampire thing, you could totally do a feminine interpretation of Spike from Buffy and it would also look fantastic!

  7. Why don't I see the vampire similarity? I only see beauty ! Maybe I am smitten with this look. Your blazer is obviously gorgeous with its luxurious color ans texture which adds a nice contrast to the separates. But those pants...!! Well I never knew any real person who can carry that Bell Bottom Jeans so perfectly in this day and age. Wow to that too :)

  8. I used to have a velvet suit, haha. Jacket like that (same color) AND matching velvet flared pants.

    1. That's totally awesome. What became of it? I have a velvet suit too, in dark blueish green, but the pants aren't nearly flared enough.
