dressed up like a lady: Wide Leg Jeans

Wide Leg Jeans

I'm not attempting to do a series on jeans, but they do seem to keep coming up. I'm crazy about these ones, especially since I found them only after some serious hunting. It was actually kind of hard to find a pair that met the criteria I wanted:

1) Wide Leg
2) Straight (no flare)
3) Low Rise
4) Long enough for a tall girl in heels.

These ones from PRPS were dang near the ONLY ones I could find that had all of the above -- including an epic 36" inseam. But they're pretty much perfect!

 Jeans: PRPS
Cowboy belt: Thrifted
Woodies: Steve Madden
Dance Leotard: Sansha

The dream of the 90's is alive in my closet!

  1. did you ever wear jnco jeans? the ones you're wearing are more normalized but i can picture you wearing giant raver jeans and a baby tee back in the days.

  3. I would love to be able to wear jeans like that. But I have the opposite problem of long legs. I have like a 26" inseam I kid you not. My legs are basically stubs. I should be like 4'11" but my body is normal sized, it's weird. ANYHOW - you rock these. You legs look like they go on forever.

  4. I am in a hateful relationship with jeans right now. After ditching the maternity jeans and losing 35lbs of the 50 I gained during pregnancy, I am finding it very difficult to find a pair of jeans that fit in all the right places. You make it look effortless! I applaud you for finding a pair of fabulous jeans that are not "skinny" jeans. Seems like that's all they make these days. All I want is a pair of higher waisted, straight-wide legged jeans that fit my very muscular calves, are the right size, and hug my butt in the right places. Huzzah to you for looking fab! I will definitely be checking out this company and seeing if they have the right stuff for me.

  5. Jeans just don't come any better than this (and yes, I say that factoring in my beloved mid-century styles). That's pretty much my perfect pair, too, and the fact that this cut just seems to make one's legs go on for miles doesn't hurt one iota either (you've got lengthy gams in bag, but at 5'2" with short legs, I need all the illusion of length I can get! :)). Classic, wonderful outfit, dear gal!

*PS* Thank you very much for your terrifically nice comment on my US day trip post this week. I just knew in my heart of hearts that I wanted to wear red, white and blue for my first visit to the States and am so glad that I did. No idea when I'll be on that side of the border next, but hopefully it won't be too long - I've already started playing with possible outfit ideas in my head for when I do.

  6. OOoo.... leotard with denims looks quite classic !! Loved the look and OMG your flexible and fun poses too. It is your USP I feel, every time. And reading that description of yours for the perfect jeans, I come to realize that be it short ( petite? like myself) people or tall people... everyone has to look hard top find perfection when it comes to denim :) We are all in this together !!
