dressed up like a lady: The Red Boot Diaries

The Red Boot Diaries

Chi's Sweet Home t-shirt: Ebay
High waisted cut-offs: Very old, originally thrifted, I think
Flannel: MC's
Faux leather moto jacket: BB Dakota
Spiderman/Black Cat necklace: Gift from MC
Sunnies: Thrifted
Bright red platform ankle boots: Michael Antonio

I had a hard time choosing between these bright red, crazy tall platform ankle boots and some other ones that were the same except purple and with glitter. I asked MC for his opinion, and he thought I should get both.

They were both on sale (and cheap in the first place), so I did. Every time I think maybe I'm about to have modest, grown-up taste, it totally does not happen. But it's good to have a partner in crime when it comes to this stuff. ;)

I've always subscribed to the idea that dressing like a "grown up" just means knowing how to take your wild, outlandish pieces and make them look good alongside whatever you pair them with. And it's a little snarky, but we know it's true: not dressing wild or daring is no guarantee that a person actually knows how to dress. Besides, what kind of insane husband wouldn't want to see his hot, fearless wife in big, tall, sexy boots?   -MC

  1. I'm not sure you guys are mushy enough. You could be mushier ;)

I really like the boots; you cannot go wrong with those boots. They will take you many places, and they are gorgeous. We'll be seeing the purple ones soon, yeah?

  2. Those boots are awesome, I can't wait to see what the purple glitter ones look like. Timmy is the same way about any pair of sexy heels. Even bought me a pair I loved that I can't walk in enough to wear outside the house.

  3. Heck yes to this! If dressing like a grown up means embracing boring then I am not interested.

  4. REd boot diaries - the coolest most workable title - wow - I could write a book! The glasses are awesome, also. Keep playing, you two.

  5. Grunge meets sexy! I totally love this.
